We'll have a great tip for SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Performance Tuning, Architecture, Design, and Software Development. Come prepared to share your own tips and be interactive.
Part 2
We'll talk about Continuous Integration, what it is, how it works, why it's important, and how to implement it with Microsoft SQL Server.
Speaker's Bio
Ike is a partner at The Monastery, a software development consultancy. He's been a Microsoft MVP since 2011. He first worked with Microsoft SQL Server in 1997. Ike started as an independent consultant and trainer in September, 2000. Recent projects include a planning and financial solution used by a major retailer, a SQL Server Analysis Services project for a top ten university, an attorney scorecard tool used by the oldest intellectual property law firm in the US, SQL performance tuning for a medical imaging company, and an enrollment and retention tool used by an online university. 1st Presentation: Database Development Using SQL Server 2012 Data Tools - Making a database developer happier and more productive

Database Development got completely revamped with the release of SQL Server Data Tools. Visual Studio 2012 continues the enhancements. The former Visual Studio Database Projects have now been integrated into the all new SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT). In this session we'll look at the tools included with SSDT such as the all new localdb, database snapshots, and the new way to publish your database. You'll also learn how to reverse engineer existing databases into your project, as well as how to do safe refactoring. Finally we'll not the limitations around the new SSDT and ways you can work around them. We'll also highlight differences between the new SSDT and the former Visual Studio Database Projects.
 
Bio:
Robert C. Cain (http://arcanecode.com) is a Microsoft MVP in SQL Server, MCTS Certified in BI, and works as a Senior Consultant for Pragmatic Works. He is also a technical contributor to Plurasight, and co-author of 3 (soon to be 4) books. A popular speaker, Robert has presented at events such as the SQL PASS Summit, TechEd, SQL Rally, and numerous SQL Saturdays. Robert has over 25 years experience in the IT industry, working in a variety of fields ranging from manufacturing to telecommunications to nuclear power.

This is my diary of two adventurous roads I traveled for exploring the new world of database options in the cloud, from different viewpoints for IT Managers, DBAs, and Database Developers. It includes my notes from successful DB implementations in SQL Azure and Amazon RDS.
